The LACASA Clothesline Project

Sexual violence and child abuse affect all walks of life. Impacting not only survivors, but friends, family members and our entire community. In recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness & Child Abuse Awareness Month, LACASA is sponsoring the 11th Annual Clothesline Project.

The Clothesline Project includes t-shirts decorated by survivors of sexual violence and/or child abuse and community members who support survivors. The t-shirts are  representative of the collective effort to end interpersonal violence and are proudly displayed throughout the community during the month of April.

You are invited to participate in the Clothesline Project by decorating a t-shirt as a representation of your personal experience with interpersonal violence or in honor of the countless other survivors. Adult and child-sized shirts are available and may be decorated with a variety of materials including fabric paint, markers
or appliqués.

To have your t-shirt added to the Clothesline Project, please drop at LACASA, during the month of April. The clothesline project will be on display at LACASA and local libraries from April 1 through 30, 2010.

The Clothesline Project is Displayed at the Following Locations

Brighton Area District Library, Fowlerville District Library, Hamburg Twp. Library, Hartland Cromaine Library,
Howell Carnegie Library, Pinckney Community Library and LACASA
